Hi Everyone,

This year's brain awareness week activities will be held on sunday
May1st. One of the exhibits will be a microscopy station where the kids
will be able to look at various nervous tissues (preferably brains)
from different species.

If you or your lab has any microscope slides with brain tissue that is
stained for light microscopy (sorry, no fluorescence), and are willing
to "loan" them for one day, that would be fantastic.

It would be great to have brains form rats, mice, birds, planarians,
flies, cultured neurons or any other samples that show neurons.

Brain awareness week is a unique opportunity to interest the young ones
in neuroscience!

Please let me know if you have any microscope slides that you could
spare. They will be returned to you right after the event.

Christian
