Hi Everyone,

The NSO has invited Dr. Andrea Chiba from UCSD to speak at
the Neuroscience seminar on Tuesday, Sept 21st. Her
research focuses on neural systems underlying affect,
attention, learning, and memory. This includes:

-studying the role of the basal forebrain cholinergic system
in modulation attention in two distinct behavioral settings,
associative learning and spatial orienting
-examining the contribution of the amygdala and associated
cortical systems to the formation of preferences for neutral
stimuli.

If you would like to meet with her during her visit, or have
any questions, please e-mail me. Meetings will last between
30-45 min.

Thanks,
Karla
