Hi All,



We are again looking for 3-4 postdocs to join our invited speakers at the Courier Café in Urbana for breakfast next Tuesday.  Please consider joining us. Our first outside NSP speaker of the semester is Carlos Ponce, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurobiology at the Harvard University (https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://ponce.hms.harvard.edu/__;!!DZ3fjg!9SUJlTX47yLtPf-GNZTiITMmQLyX5oGWOaW2wVSZ50Sd3hf7Pvd8ntQ-_bpTOd7rtUzqx3AIB7Qy8iX2HQo-QZ7VqY9IKO_C$ ). His visit had to be rescheduled from last fall due to travel issues. He will describe how we use machine learning to extract visual attributes represented by neurons. His work focuses on how the visual brain works in the natural world.
