Hi everyone,

This Tuesday we will be hosting Dr. Catherine Kotz from University of
Minnesota. Her talk is entitled "CNS regulation of spontaneous physical
activity in animal models and the impact on obesity resistance." Dr. Kotz's
lab studies obesity, neuropeptidergic regulation of energy balance, the
role of urocortin on feeding behavior, the role of orexin, also known as
hypocretin, on energy balance. She uses microarray procedures to study gene
expression in specific brain regions during the development of obesity with
aging.

If you are interested in joining us for breakfast at 8am on Tuesday, 1/29 @
Courier Cafe, please let me know!

Thanks and have a great weekend!
