Dear Directors of Graduate Studies and Department Contacts,
The Graduate College is offering a limited number of travel grants for
doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers to attend the fourth
annual */Global Young Scientists Summit /*(GYSS). GYSS is an
international multidisciplinary research conference held in Singapore
January 17-22, 2016, and it will bring together young researchers with
acclaimed science and technology leaders from around the world.
Speakers include recipients of the Nobel Prize, Fields Medal, Turing
Award, Millennium Technology Prize, and the IEEE Medal of Honor.
Doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers age 35 and younger in all
STEM fields are eligible. Travel grants will cover all costs associated
with the conference including airfare, registration fee, lodging, meals,
and local transportation.
Applicants apply through their departments, and each department may
submit /one/ nomination for the campus competition. Departmental
nominations are due in the Graduate College by 10:00 a.m. on September
