Dear Faculty, Students and Postdocs,

I hope your summer has been productive and enjoyable.  This email is to 
announce a few special events this coming semester and to notify you of 
committee assignments for '03-04.

Hold these dates!  (more info on each will follow)
1) Sept 14  NSP Retreat (again kindly organized by Big Brain Club)

2) Oct 21   SfN at NSP.  This will involve a combination of: 1) a town 
meeting with Bill Greenough to discuss the new SfN Strategic Plan and what 
it might mean for us, 2) a "pre-poster" session so students and postdocs 
planning to present a poster at Neuroscience can share their latest results 
locally as well as get friendly feedback before the bright lights of SfN; 
and 3) dinner.

3) Dec 2 and 9.  Our first First Year Student Presentations (at the regular 
seminar time)
