News from Essie Meisami:
"I am pleased to inform you and the members of our Neuroscience community
here at Illinois, that Sabra Abbott, a graduate student in Molecular and
Integrative Physiology and Medical Scholars Program, whose research in
neuroscience (cholinergic regulation of sleep and circadian rhythms ) is
under the direction of Martha Gillette, has been awarded one of the Eli
Lili's Graduate Student Travel Award to attend the Society for Neuroscience
Meeting this November in New Orleans. This $750 is a highly competitive
one, given to a few of the many who apply from various chapters. Sabra was
our Chapter's choice for this award and we are happy that our choice was an
excellent one. I am sure we all would like to congratulate Sabra on this
accomplishment and wish her the best in her research."
Congratulations to Sabra and thanks, Essie, for coordinating the nomination.
