Dear Students,

A reminder about the upcoming Student Town Meeting, details below.

And one item to add to the agenda: A "new" speaking opportunity for NSP
students
For the past several years, the joint forum for the two neuro-related
training grants, Developmental Psychobiology and Neurobiogy and Sensory
Neuroscience, has been Fridays at 1 PM at the Beckman.
This will not be the case for the upcoming year. DPNTG (Janice Juraska,
PI), will be having trainee talks at another time and place and SNTG (Al
Feng, PI) is nearing completion, with a renewal application planned for
the future, but now now.

Because Fridays at 1 has been established as a "neuro time" in the
hearts, minds and appointment schedules of many members of NSP, Lee Cox
has kindly agreed to keep the forum going, opening it up to all students
and postdocs in NSP. This will be an opportunity to present new results
and get experience speaking in a relatively informal and supportive
environment.

At our town meeting, we can discuss how students can take maximum
advantage of this opportunity, so come with ideas. We are appreciative
of Lee's leadership, and let's see what we can develop.

Best,
Gene
