Just a reminder that our last MIP Seminar will be held tomorrow, Nov. 30th.
The speaker will be Dr. William Kem. Dr. Kem is Professor of Pharmacology
and Therapeutics at the University of Florida College of Medicine at
Gainsville. He is an alumnus of the Physiology Department (Ph.D., 1969)
having worked with the late Bernard Abbott (Biophysics faculty) and also
with Ladd Prosser. His scientific interests include use of neuotoxins as
therapeutic agents in brain disorders such as Alzheimer's disease.
The title of his seminar is "Ion Channel Toxins As Molecular Models For The
Drug Design"
The seminar will be held in 124 Burrill Hall at 4:00 p.m.
There will be a pre-seminar reception in 176 Burrill Hall Addition at 3:30 p.m.
